Delta Expands San Juan Service For Winter Season

ATLANTA, Dec. 10, 2013 Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) is expanding its Puerto Rico service this month with new seasonal frequencies between San Juan and Atlanta, Detroit and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Delta will launch two additional daily flights between San Juan and Atlanta on Dec. 19, 2013, for a total of five daily flights between the two cities. Delta also will begin an additional seasonal Saturday flight beginning Dec. 21, 2013.

Delta also will begin seasonal Saturday service to Detroit and Minneapolis-St. Paul on Dec. 21.

“Delta’s expanded Puerto Rico schedule means more options for customers visiting one of the most popular Caribbean destinations over the busy winter season,” said Maria Fernanda Price, Delta’s regional manager for the Caribbean. “Our flights to our international hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis-St. Paul provide convenient connections to San Juan from top destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia.”

At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Delta provides access to more than 930 daily flights to 205 destinations, including nonstop service to 61 international destinations. Customers transiting the airport can experience the new Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal, a world-class international facility which opened in spring 2012 and features full signage in Spanish throughout the airport.

The new schedule between Atlanta (ATL) and San Juan (SJU) is as follows:

Saturday schedule for flights between San Juan (SJU) and Minneapolis St. Paul (MSP), and San Juan (SJU) and Detroit (DTW):

Minneapolis St. Paul (MSP) at 9:00 a.m.

Minneapolis St. Paul (MSP) at 8:59 p.m.

The additional flights schedule is now available for booking through www.delta.com. Customers could also access to Delta’s Twitter channels, @Delta and, in Spanish, @DeltaAssist_ES, for real-time support before, during and after travel.
